During a live TV interview with Captain Smart on Onua Television's morning show, Atta Mills' son called Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia "extremely disappointing" and made some strong remarks about him. This statement is similar to what Samira Bawumia said when she called former President John Mahama "incompetent" un the past.
Notably, Dr. Bawumia, Ghana's current vice president, has been instrumental in the nation's economic growth as the Bank of Ghana's deputy governor and a prominent player in the creation and application of monetary policy frameworks. Atta Mills' son's response, however, captures the range of Ghanaians' sentiments regarding his performance.
Given that Dr. Bawumia and previous President Mahama have different approaches to administration and economic policy, the comparison between them is especially intriguing. Mahama's administration gave infrastructure development and social programs first priority, while Dr. Bawumia concentrated on monetary policy and financial sector reform.
