In response to Pastor Mensah Otabil's recent remarks on election prophecies, Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah, the founder and head of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, has written to Otabil and exposed him. Prophet Owusu Bempah addressed Pastor Otabil's claim that God no longer selects national leaders in an interview on Okay FM on Monday morning.
According to Prophet Owusu Bempah, God still selects nations' leaders, but this does not absolve them of responsibility. He claimed that although God selected Nana Akufo-Addo to lead Ghana from 2017 to 2025, this decision does not ensure that Akufo-Addo will make no mistakes. He went on to say that God-selected Pastor Mensah Otabil had some financial problems, which even led to one guy being imprisoned. According to Owusu Bempah, Pastor Mensah Otabil's sin at the time does not imply that God did not choose him.
Certain pastors in Ghana have been selected by God, but their morals are flawed. Pastor Mensah Otabil recently declared that he no longer thinks God selects leaders for nations; if He still does, then He must be selecting the incorrect ones at this time. These days, even God-called pastors make blunders. For example, there is a legal action against Pastor Mensah Otabil because of specific banking problems, which even resulted in one individual being imprisoned. Isn't this evidence that you can be a true follower of God and still make mistakes? God has really selected you to carry out His will, yet you are fallible human beings. He clarified, "God can also select a leader for a country, and that leader may make mistakes.
This follows Pastor Mensa Otabil's warning to Christians, especially those who practice the Charismatic faith, to be wary of preachers who make false claims to have unique spiritual abilities and make up stories to get attention, especially during election seasons.
After Prophet Owusu Bempah said that God had told him former President Mahama will win the 2024 elections, Pastor Otabil issued a warning. Bempah had before said that God had assured Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia of victory. Without offering any proof, Owusu Bempah also claimed that Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector-General of Police, was trying to hurt him. Pastor Otabil voiced his worry about some prophets' actions, calling them detrimental to the apostolic and charismatic faiths.
