After former President and future Ghanaian leader John Dramani Mahama announced a five-member team to lead his ORAL program, Ghanaians on social media are in a celebratory mood. The next government has launched Operation Recover All Loot, or ORAL, to recover funds that were embezzled by existing NPP government personnel. ORAL's promise has thrilled Ghanaians, and Mahama has appointed a five-person committee to start the process in line with his campaign pledge. The team's chairman, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, is the Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu. COP (Rtd) Kofi Boakye, investigative journalist Raymond Archer, private attorney Martin Kpebu, and former Auditor General Daniel Domelevo are among the other members.
Ghanaians are ecstatic by the news and are rejoicing on social media. One person wrote, "We hope a lot of people who looted this nation are jailed." Another wrote: "What a solid team," to paraphrase Bawumia.
