With just a few days remaining in President Akufo-Addo's term, GHC60 million has reportedly been moved to his office, according to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL). The North Tongu MP claimed that the money was transmitted and received by the President's Office on December 23, 2024, at 4:38 p.m., in a post on his official Facebook page. Therefore, Mr. Ablakwa is requesting explanations for the transfer of such a sum to the President's Office for special activities. He criticized the departing government for not making payments to CHASS, CETAG, and the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
Ghanaians need to understand why Profligate President Akufo-Addo's "Special Operations" during his final years should take precedence over severe arrears at WAEC, CHASS, CETAG, Free SHS Secretariat, IPPs, NaBCo, and other organizations. The Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration's apparent goal of draining the national coffers by very dubious and unnecessary spending before the Mahama administration takes over is the most disheartening.
