The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Wing in the Eastern Region has announced plans to organize a peaceful walk under the theme "Youth Eye Red for Change". Scheduled for December 4, 2024, from 3:00 pm in Koforidua, the event aims to mobilize and galvanize the region's youth in support of the party's vision for change in the upcoming general elections.
The walk seeks to encourage active participation of the youth in Ghana's political processes and amplify their role in shaping the country's future. Thousands of NDC youth from across the region are expected to participate, carrying placards with messages advocating for change and emphasizing the importance of youth in national development.
Richard Etornam Nyarko, popularly known as Blibo, who leads the NDC Eastern Region Youth Wing, assured the public that the event would adhere to all security and safety protocols, maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. He called on all youth, party supporters, and sympathizers to join the walk and demonstrate their commitment to the NDC's vision for a better Ghana.
"This walk is not only a demonstration of our readiness for change but also a call to action for every young Ghanaian to rise and make their voices heard in the political landscape," he stated.
The walk is part of the NDC’s broader strategy to energize its base and showcase unity ahead of the December 7 elections. The youth wing believes this initiative will send a powerful message to the ruling government and Ghanaians at large, signaling the determination of the youth to influence meaningful change in governance.
Participants and supporters are encouraged to turn out in their numbers to ensure the event’s success, further bolstering the NDC’s preparations for the critical elections.
