The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate for Pru East in of the Bono East Region, Mr. Emmanuel Kwaku Boam has urged prison inmates in Yeji Prisons Camp not to give up in life despite their current environment.

The NDC PC, who inspires the inmate, told the prisoners that what God has written about their future matters more than their present circumstances thus, they should be confident enough to overcome challenges as they thrive serving their jail terms.

Hence, Mr. Boam capitalised on the life story of some prominent African leaders such as Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghand and the former South African President Nelson Mandela, as sources of motivation.

The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate for Pru East made the words of aspirations when he donated essential items to Yeji Prison Camp and shared a meal with the inmates to climax the celebration of his birthday.

The gesture demonstrates his commitment to supporting the livelihoods and care for needy with his little means available.



Hon. Boam, who has consistently been a friend of the inmates, visited the prison camp on Sunday, presented ten furnished benches, food, assorted drinks, and bottled water to narrow difficulties at the camp and exhibited solidarity.



Mr. Kwaku Boam believes everyone deserves a second chance, because he believes most of the inmates found themselves in such a situation by accident and under mysterious circumstances.

After the donation, Hon. Boam joined inmates for dinner, sharing stories and words of encouragement and hope.

He emphasized the inmates' rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

The inmates, visibly moved, thanked Hon. Boam for his compassion and promised to make the most of their second chance.

The inmates expressed disappointment in the Akufo-Addo's led administration's denial of amnesty for eight years and refused to increase their feeding fee.

They lament a lack of skilled training programs while serving their jail terms at the prisons camp.

They declared support for NDC and Hon. Boam in the upcoming elections and appealed to President Mahama to address prisoners' health and conditions.
