About ten thousand supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Amenfi Central constituency of the Western Region joined the NDC Parliamentary candidate for the area, Madam Joana Gyan Cudjoe, also known as Obaa Naa, for a 24-hour Economy Victory Walk ahead of the 2024 elections.

The event, which showcased the constituency’s unwavering commitment to securing victory in the 2024 general election, saw a massive turnout of supporters and party sympathizers.

The walk, held on Friday, October 18, 2024, started at Ohenekrom, passed through Sika Nti, and concluded at Kwakuaboa, covering key areas within the constituency.

The organizers, who had initially set a target of attracting 6,000 party supporters, were surprised by the overwhelming crowd that joined the event, highlighting the widespread support for the NDC in the Amenfi Central constituency.

Designed not only to rally support for the NDC but also to promote a healthy lifestyle, the 24-hour Economy Walk was vibrant, with a charged atmosphere.

Party members walked together in unity, fostering a spirit of solidarity and a shared purpose for Joana Gyan Cudjoe and the NDC. The initiative also aimed to strengthen relationships among party members and the broader community, creating a sense of camaraderie and motivation.

Beyond its focus on health and fitness, the walk served as a platform for political engagement. Participants had the opportunity to discuss campaign strategies, exchange ideas, and interact with fellow supporters.

NDC representatives used the occasion to promote their parliamentary candidate, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, and the party’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama.

Party T-shirts and posters were distributed to emphasize Mahama’s position on the ballot as number eight and Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s position as number two.

Additionally, the event served to communicate the NDC’s policies and vision for the nation, highlighting the transformative plans they intend to implement if voted back into power on December 7th.

This initiative aimed to reinforce the party’s message and strengthen its appeal among the electorate in Amenfi Central.

The NDC in the Amenfi Central constituency has consistently been working towards a win in the 2024 elections, and the 24-hour Economy Walk was just one of many strategic activities planned to raise awareness and build momentum for the party.

Supporters and party faithful were urged to turn out in large numbers to campaign vigorously for a resounding victory in the 2024 election.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe appealed to the people in the area to vote massively for the NDC if they desire development.

She also called on the electorate not to entertain Mr. Yaw Kwakye Ackah, the disappointed independent candidate for the area, describing him as a "nation wrecker" and a "betrayer" of the NDC.

She promised to transform the entire constituency if elected as the next Member of Parliament.
