The Chiefs and people of Adjiekrom in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region have honored the Interim National Director of World Vision Ghana, Mr. Jean-Claude Mukadi, for his organization’s immense contributions to the community by enstooling him as the Nkosuohene (Development Chief).
Mr. Mukadi, who will now be known in the traditional setting as Nana Adjei, was celebrated for his leadership and World Vision Ghana’s continued investment in the community, particularly in the areas of health promotion, education, and sanitation.
World Vision Ghana has over the years played a key role in enhancing the lives of Adjiekrom residents by providing access to clean water, constructing toilet facilities, and supporting local schools with teaching and learning materials.
Speaking at a colorful coronation ceremony held at the Adjiekrom Community Park, the Dade Mantse, Nene Victor Basta Asare, emphasized the importance of the gesture.
> “It is indeed a great day for us. This is our way of expressing heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Mukadi and World Vision Ghana for their unwavering support. When you visit Adjiekrom, you’ll see the impact—modern toilet facilities, potable water systems, and support for our schools. They’ve organized teacher training programs and provided educational resources. We are proud to honor him as our Development Chief to strengthen our ties and deepen our partnership.”
In response, Nana Adjei expressed his gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him and reaffirmed World Vision Ghana’s commitment to the development of Adjiekrom.
> “I am deeply moved by this gesture. Being adopted into this community and honored as a Chief is a privilege I do not take lightly. I assure you that both I and World Vision Ghana, along with our partners, will continue to stand with Adjiekrom in its journey toward sustainable development.”
The enstoolment ceremony not only marked a cultural celebration but also solidified a growing relationship between the community and World Vision Ghana—a partnership centered on shared values of development, dignity, and hope.
