The Youth Member of Parliament (YMP) for the Anyaa Sowotuom Constituency, Hon. Golden Princess, recently hosted a youth mentorship conference aimed at fostering leadership skills and empowering young people to prepare for a successful future. Held at Pentecost University in Greater Accra, the conference brought together over 50 youths aged 17 to 25 under the theme, “Empowerment the Youth, Empowerment Minds Conference.”
In her opening remarks, Hon. Golden Princess emphasized the importance of personal growth, urging participants to develop strong social skills essential for building lasting connections. She highlighted that each stage of life comes with its own challenges and accomplishments, encouraging the youth to remain focused on their goals and to cultivate qualities critical for success.
Hon. Golden Princess (Youth Member of Parliament, Anyaa Sowotuom Constituency) motivated participants to “embrace and champion qualities that are essential for personal growth,” setting a foundation for a future of focused ambition.
Representing Elder Emmanuel Tobbin, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Anyaa Sowotuom, Mr. Justice Andoh, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana, underscored the importance of human resource development for national progress. He highlighted the role of youth in shaping the country’s future and praised the organizers for their impactful initiative, adding that hard work and a commitment to learning from others are essential qualities for success.
Mr. Justice Andoh noted that “investment in youth is essential to foster a sense of modesty and to empower them for future responsibilities.”
Addressing health as a foundation for success, Ms. Lady-Shine Fruitful, a health expert, encouraged the youth to prioritize their well-being, explaining that maintaining physical health is integral to achieving personal and professional goals. She emphasized that good health enables individuals to nurture harmonious relationships and remain productive members of society.
Ms. Lady-Shine Fruitful urged attendees to remember that “their physical health is key to their conscious development and future success.”
Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to attend the mentorship conference, feeling more prepared to pursue their goals and contribute positively to their communities and nation.
