In order to sponsor his homosexual companion, a church secretary allegedly stole GHS 300,000 from the church and was arrested.

Hayford Kofi Baah, a 25-year-old church secretary who is married and has kids, is accused of stealing GHS300,000 from the church to pay for his gay partner's university tuition.

According to reports, Douglas Agyenim Boateng, his gay boyfriend, is a university student who pays high tuition.

The New Crusading Guide's report also showed that his gay partner received some church funding to help with his travel expenditures to Canada.

The story that EDHUB shared has prompted some Ghanaians to ask, "Are we really saying that, had this accused Church Secretary spent the money on sponsoring a female partner, it would have been considered a lesser crime?"

Another social media user commented, "The money belongs to the lord," beneath the post. It should not be necessary for anyone to be arrested for stealing from their father.

Another X user who claimed to be a good citizen said, "He shouldn't be arrested." The church will undoubtedly receive a larger sum from the good Lord who donated it to it. Forgiveness, according to the Bible, is divine.
