People on social media have criticized Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the minority chief whip, for being patronizing to his majority-side colleague MP.
Frank Annoh-Dompreh (MP) was seen on camera arguing with a majority-party MP on the screening of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister for Foreign Affairs-designate, and Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the Minister for Health-designate.
During this debate, Annoh-Dompreh stood up to a majority-side colleague MP and said, "Who are you! The minority's opposition to the unplanned vetting is reiterated with the statement, "It is not happening."
In response to Annoh-Dompreh's word choice, social media users criticized him on X. Some claimed that he had validated Emeafa Hardcastle's remark about his being a "silly child."
It was originally planned for the Appointments Committee to examine three ministerial nominees, but they ultimately agreed to examine five. Nonetheless, the majority desired to screen Mintah Akandoh and Okudzeto Ablakwa, who were not on the agenda. This sparked a fight that resulted in the vetting hall's tables, microphones, and other equipment being destroyed.
