News coming in indicates that a group of political party thugs stormed the official residence of Nana Asante Bediatuo at Roman Ridge. As you may already know, Nana Asante Bediatuo is the secretary to President Akufo Addo. Currently, Nana Asante Bediatuo is out of the country receiving medical treatment.

The attack occurred yesterday after the group had previously been turned away on December 27 and December 30, 2024. Reports indicate that the attackers forced their way into the property after being informed that Nana Asante Bediatuo was out of the country.

Eyewitnesses said about 20 men arrived at the residence, determined to gain access. The security personnel on duty tried to prevent them from entering, but the thugs overpowered them and forced their way inside. The reason behind the attack is still unclear, but some sources suggest it may be linked to political tensions following recent election and events in the country.

According to security officials, the group had visited the residence twice before the attack, demanding to meet Nana Asante Bediatuo. On both occasions, they were informed that he was unavailable and out of the country. However, their actions yesterday show that they were not willing to accept the explanation and decided to take matters into their own hands.

The police were later called to the scene to restore order. Investigations have already begun to identify the individuals involved and uncover the motive behind the attack. Authorities are also reviewing security footage to assist in the investigation.

Nana Asante Bediatuo, a respected legal practitioner and secretary to the President, is yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. Currently, he is out of the country receiving medical treatment as per report from the Jubilee House.
