The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a stern warning to Frank Annor Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, to honor a court invitation related to his disputed election result.

The Deputy National Director of Elections and Information Technology for the NDC, Dr. Rashid Tanko Computer speaking on gold morning conversation on Radio Gold friday stated that failure to comply would result in a bench warrant for the arrest of the Nsawam Adoagiri law maker Frank Dompreh.

The NDC is challenging the election result, which declared Frank Annor Dompreh the winner after several re-colllation process.

The NDC party argues that the original results from the polling stations should stand, rather than the revised outcome following the re-colllation results.

The Electoral Commission’s decision has been contested by the NDC, which has taken the matter to court to overturn the result.

Dr. Tanko Computer explained that the NDC would use all lawful means to address the issue, stating that “all of them will be arrested for defiling court orders” if they fail to comply.

The party is determined to “remove illegal NPP MP’s from their positions as members of parliament”, he told Sena Nombo the host of the show.

The dispute stems after an Accra High court ordered recount of the election results in Nsawam Adoagyiri, which led to Frank Annor Dompreh retaining his seat.

The NDC has contested the recollection process, arguing that the original results should stand.

The case is currently before the High court, with the NDC seeking to overturn the election result declared by the Electoral Commission.
