The Atwima Nwabiagya North district's Asante Akropong circuit court has placed a level 100 university student under remand in jail after he allegedly defiled a 13-year-old girl in Tanoso, Kwadaso Municipality.

An Apenteng Appiah Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) student named Raynus Ofori Mensah entered a not guilty plea to the defilement accusation.

Nonetheless, he disclosed to the judge that he had spent the previous four months working with the victim.

The court, which is presided over by Gloria Mensah Bonsu, will see him again on December 8, 2025.
