According to the video posted today on twitter by CITI FM, Koforidua, a town in Ghana’s Eastern Region, was shaken by the tragic news of a doctor who took his own life, leaving behind a heart-wrenching message for his family.

According to close family sources, the doctor, a well-respected member of the community, spoke to his wife just before the incident, leaving her with the emotional words, "Take care of our three kids. We will meet."

The doctor, known for his dedication to his work and his compassionate nature, reportedly struggled with stress, which those close to him suspect may have contributed to his decision.

Sources indicate that he had been facing pressure from both his demanding medical career and personal challenges, which may have left him feeling overwhelmed.

Family friends shared that the doctor’s wife is deeply affected by his final message, describing him as a devoted father and husband.

"He loved his children dearly. His words have left us all in shock," a close family friend mentioned.

His message has brought attention to the hidden emotional struggles many people may be experiencing silently, even while appearing strong to those around them.

In response to the incident, mental health advocates in the Koforidua community are urging people to pay attention to signs of mental distress in those around them.

“This tragedy shows the importance of supporting each other, especially those in demanding professions. Mental health matters just as much as physical health,” shared a local psychologist.

he local health authorities in Koforidua have also expressed their condolences to the family, with colleagues from the medical field mourning the loss of a beloved member of their profession.

Fellow doctors and friends are rallying around his family, pledging support to his wife and children in this difficult time.
