Ghanaian philanthropist and entrepreneur Alhaji Ayaana has walked 250 kilometers from Kumasi to Accra.
On Sunday, January 5, 2025, the businessman arrived in Accra after starting his travel on January 4, 2025.
Social media users from Ghana, however, appeared astonished that Alhaji Ayaana could finish a 250-kilometer trip in less than 48 hours.

The Ghanaian businessman and philanthropist Alhaji Ayaana has finished walking from Kumasi to Accra in anticipation of the inauguration of President-elect John Mahama.

Following his reelection in the Saturday, December 7 presidential election, the 65-year-old businessman from Tamale set out on the trek to express his support for former President John Mahama.

According to reports, Alhaji Ayaana arrived in Accra on Sunday night, January 5, 2025, less than 48 hours before the president-elect's swearing-in event. He started his journey a few days prior.

Previous accounts indicated that the businessman drove 250 kilometers from Tamale to Kumasi and then walked the remaining 250 kilometers from the Ashanti regional capital to Accra.

his latest walk is not the first time Alhaji Ayaana has embarked on such a symbolic journey.

In 1997, the businessman embarked on a similar walk to commemorate late former President Rawling's swearing-in ceremony.

Again, in 1999 Alhaji Ayaana completed a 16-kilometre walk in Tamale on Independence Day to promote national unity and healthy living.
