President-elect John Mahama has been warned by Prophet Nanasei Opoku-Sarkodie, the founder and leader of Potter's City in Miotso, not to repeal the Electronic Levy (E-Levy) tax when he takes office on January 7, 2025.

According to him, he has learned that the economy will have major difficulties and that the incoming president will require a big amount of money in order to efficiently oversee state activities.

Addressing his congregation, the fiery man of God said that President-elect Mahama should restore toll booths nationwide in order to help the state generate revenue, in addition to keeping the E-Levy in place. It is going to be a really challenging year, I can assure you.

I told one politician yesterday, 'Don't deceive yourself into thinking you are going to transform Ghana in a year.' Tell President Mahama that he should not cancel the E-Levy tax; he will need it.
