AFC Bournemouth is reportedly set to accept Liverpool's offer for Antoine Semenyo, as revealed by Football Insider. The Ghanaian striker has garnered interest from several top European clubs due to his impressive performances this season.
While Arsenal and Newcastle United are also interested, Semenyo is being viewed as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.
According to senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke on the Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, Bournemouth is unlikely to block any move the player wishes to make in the upcoming summer transfer window. However, a transfer in January seems improbable, given Bournemouth's reluctance to disrupt their squad mid-season and Liverpool's focus on strengthening other positions.
Semenyo has had a significant impact this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in 12 appearances for Bournemouth.
The 24-year-old has thrived under manager Andoni Iraola's guidance, attracting attention from clubs like Newcastle United and Tottenham. Although he missed the recent 3-2 loss against Brentford, Semenyo is expected to return when Bournemouth faces Tottenham Hotspur at the Vitality Stadium on Thursday.
