According to the Western Regional Manager of ECG, the funds will be used to upgrade transformers, replace faulty equipment, and expand network coverage in key areas facing power instability. He emphasized that this investment aligns with ECG’s broader strategy to modernize its facilities and enhance customer service.

Residents and businesses in the region have welcomed the move, expressing optimism that it will help reduce frequent power outages that have affected productivity. Some industry players have also urged ECG to implement effective monitoring systems to ensure the funds are used efficiently.
