Because the Ashanti region has turned into a political battleground, political expert Nana Piesie claims that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are looking to expand their campaign efforts there.

According to him, the NDC aims to lower the NPP's vote share while obtaining at least 30% of the total legitimate votes in the elections, while the NPP has set a goal of obtaining at least 80% of the total.

According to him, the NDC is matching the NDC boot to boot in the area because securing this projection will have a big effect on the NPP.

"The NPP will be severely harmed if they are unable to secure the Ashanti region with the targeted 80 to 90 percent of the vote." Thus, our political sphere and the general elections of 2024 will be fought in the Ashanti area.

"The campaign activities of both parties are approaching their climax, and each wants to make progress towards victory," he said on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM.

He has, however, emphasized that political leaders and their parties should answer to the public instead of only concentrating on winning elections.

"The promises made to the people are the main factor in winning an election," he said, adding that if elected, political leaders must fulfill their mandates.
