According to TV3 GH, a tragic incident has shocked residents of the Oti Region in Ghana, as a man identified as Kofi Mensah reportedly killed his wife, two children, and himself after accusing his father of having an affair with his wife.

The horrifying event occurred in a small village in the region, leaving the community in disbelief.

Neighbors described Kofi as a quiet man who rarely spoke about his personal problems.

However, things took a dark turn when he allegedly discovered that his father, Kwame Mensah, was secretly involved with his wife, Ama Nyarko. This revelation is believed to have triggered his deadly actions.

According to witnesses, Kofi confronted Ama about the alleged affair.

“Ama, is it true you’ve been seeing my father behind my back?” he reportedly shouted. Ama, in tears, denied the accusation, saying, “Kofi, I swear on my life, I would never betray you like that!”

Unconvinced, Kofi reportedly attacked Ama with a machete, fatally injuring her. He then turned to their two young children, aged 3 and 5, who were crying and trying to run away.

“I can’t leave you to suffer without your mother,” he reportedly said before killing them as well.

In his fury, Kofi went to his father’s house, where he allegedly attacked Kwame with the same machete, leaving him with severe injuries.

“Why did you betray me, Father? You’ve ruined my life!” he yelled before fleeing the scene.

Police reports indicate that Kofi later took his own life in a nearby forest.

His lifeless body was discovered hanging from a tree. Community members who found his body were horrified.

Kwame Mensah, who survived the attack, is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

He has denied the allegations, claiming that the relationship between him and Ama was purely respectful.

“I don’t know why he thought I would do such a thing. She was like a daughter to me,” he said weakly from his hospital bed.

This incident has left the village in deep mourning.

A local elder commented, “This is a tragedy that could have been avoided. We must encourage communication in families to prevent such heartbreaking events.”
