After President Akufo-Addo's statue was completely destroyed, Albert Nat Hyde, better known by his stage name Bongo Ideas, responded.

Bongo Ideas claims that if democracy hadn't been in place, Ghanaians might have overthrown Akufo-Addo.

With an image of Akufo-Addo's statue's head, he commented on X, "The truth is, if democracy hadn't been in place, the people of Ghana might have staged a coup against Akufo-Addo!"

"The broken statue is a complete rejection of Akufo-Addo's bad, arrogant presidency," he continued.

Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's statue has been smashing and entirely fell.

In Sekondi, the monument at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital was broken by unknown individuals.

The statue was reportedly knocked over and damaged on January 13, 2025, at around 1:30 am.

The statue had been demolished twice before, the first time being when a hole was made in the left leg.

The statue, which was unveiled a few months ago in Effia Nkwanta in the Western Region, caused a great deal of popular outrage.
