In his office in Accra, President John Dramani Mahama of the Republic of Ghana disclosed that his father, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, led a team to formally congratulate him and the Vice President.

In an article published on his Facebook page on January 11, 2025, he stated:

Along with other well-known chiefs and members of the Gonja Traditional Area, the Yagbonwura traveled to Accra to take part in the inauguration event at Black Star Square.

I pledged to restart Ghana's economy and carry out a revolutionary development plan that will benefit the entire nation, making sure that the infrastructure in the six new areas is likewise addressed."

Photos of the delegation were then released by President Mahama.

John Mahama assumed office on 7th January, 2025. Since then, many individuals and institutions have visited him to congratulate him. Ambassadors and other international diplomatic societies have all visited him.
