On Monday night, their car struck a speeding truck, and the two were killed instantaneously.

The victims are 38-year-old Ghana Commercial Bank banker Kwame Owusu and his 28-year-old businessman younger brother, Emmanuel Owusu.

Around 7:30 p.m., the accident occurred while the two were heading from Tema to Ashaviman.

When I noticed the car attempting to pass a truck, I was merely at the side of the road. Suddenly, though, a second truck came from the other direction. "The driver was too late to stop," claimed Kofi Mensah, a fruit vendor by the side of the road who saw the collision.

He claimed that while driving, Kwame attempted to evade the truck but lost control.

"The car crashed into the truck after skidding off the road and colliding with a pole. He went on, "It was a horrible scene."

Soon after, a group of paramedics and Ashaiman police officers came on the site.

Kwame and Emmanuel were, regrettably, already dead.

After receiving a distress call on the accident, we hurried to the location. Regretfully, both individuals were stuck in the vehicle. We spent more than half an hour removing their bodies," Ashaiman Police Station Inspector Joseph Anang said.

The bodies were later transported to the Tema General Hospital morgue.

News of their deaths has shocked family, friends, and the entire community.

Their mother, Madam Afia Nyarko, collapsed upon hearing the news and had to be rushed to the hospital.

"I still can't believe my sons are gone. Kwame was supposed to visit me this weekend," she cried.

A close friend of Emmanuel, Richard Kusi, expressed his grief.

"He was a hardworking young man. He had big dreams, and now they are all gone just like that," he said.

The Ashaiman Police have launched an investigation into the accident.

"We will analyze the CCTV footage and speak to more witnesses. We urge all drivers to be extra careful, especially at night," Inspector Anang advised.

The family is now making funeral arrangements as they try to come to terms with the heartbreaking loss.
