Autopsy report reveals severity of Pooley's injuries in fatal stabbing incident.
Alexander Manu, the Ashanti Regional Kotoko Circles Chairman, has shared shocking details from the autopsy report of Yaw Frimpong, also known as Pooley, who was tragically stabbed to death during a football match between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman on February 2, 2025. The report reveals that Pooley's injuries were so severe that even immediate medical attention would not have saved his life.
According to Manu, who spoke on Kessben TV, the autopsy report shows that the object used in the attack pierced Pooley's heart, causing catastrophic damage 1.6 cm deep and resulting in a massive blood clot of 1.5 liters. The report's findings are a grim reminder of the senseless violence that led to Pooley's untimely death.
Asante Kotoko and its supporters will hold a vigil on February 9, 2025, at the Baba Yara stadium at 6 pm to honor Pooley's memory. Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has arrested six suspects, including former Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, in connection with the crime. Investigations are ongoing.
