Honorable Alexander Afenyo Markin, the deputy minority leader of Parliament and the member of parliament for the Effutu seat, received a daring message from Okay FM reporter Afia Pokua.

In her Monday night appearance on Okay FM's "Egyasogyaso" show, Afia Pokuaa criticized Afenyo Markin's scheme to discredit Ato Forson, who is currently the Finance Minister-designate for Ghana under President John Dramani Mahama'sadministration. And she told him that enough was enough.

Afia Pokuaa reminded Afenyo Markin that Ato Forson is more than capable of handling his new position as Finance Minister and urged him to stop intimidating him. "I am confident that he can succeed in the role," she said, criticizing any attempt to minimize him.

Part of Afenyo Markin's remarks regarding Ato Forson are as follows:

There is a past between me and the Minority Leader. We were going to go in here together. Regretfully, I made it on his first try while he was unable to. I prevailed in the primaries, and he lost. I am a term older than him today. I am his senior. I'm just four months older than him. Two constituencies separate us. Prior to coming here, we were employed in the private sector, and we have been acquainted ever since. He's the Minority Leader now. Learn from me, Kwamina, and behave well.

Afenyo Markin, who currently serves as the Minority Leader in Parliament, previously held the role of Majority Leader during Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo’s presidency. His comments appeared to reveal his seniority over Ato Forson, which did not sit well with Afia Pokua.

Afia Pokua is one of Ghana’s most prominent female media personalities, known for her bold opinions and strong voice on national issues.
