Johnson Asiedu Nketiah's son, Charles Asiedu, is the elected Member of Parliament for Tano South. He has said that although his father's support was important in his win, he put a lot of effort into getting the seat himself.
After finishing his registration process in Parliament on Sunday, January 5, 2025, Charles Asiedu gave his opinions on his victory in an interview with 1957News.
He said his father played a crucial role, but he worked hard to win the battle as well.
Since he was aware of my ability, my father was not shocked when I won the election. The fact that his son would be serving in the 9th Parliament thrilled him much, he remarked.
Charles Asiedu, who secured 20,056 votes, successfully unseated the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament, Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere, who garnered 19,061 votes.
