According to Nana Yaa Jantuah, a former general secretary of the Convention People's Party (CPP), there is hope that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government would guide Ghana toward a better future.
She considered the difficulties encountered during the eight-year term of the Akufo-Addo-led government, characterizing it as a time of great adversity for Ghanaians, in an interview with UTV on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
"Cheers to our first female vice president," I said. It's a new day. Have you noticed how many presidents were there at John Dramani Mahama's inauguration? The personal connection he has with each of the dignitaries was noteworthy. The head of state of Burkina Faso was applauded by the guests, did you observe that?" she asked.
As a solemn pledge to the Ghanaian people, she emphasized the importance of the oath of office.
Ghanaians require you to perform properly; failing to do so would result in consequences, according to the oath. Doesn't it seem intriguing? The NPP regime caused suffering for Ghanaians, and the constitutional penalty for failing the people was disregarded. According to the constitution, the president may be impeached if the economy is in terrible shape.
Ghanaians are delivered by God. According to Armah-Kofi Buah, "We will no longer see the Egyptians that we see today." For much too long, the NPP kept us in Goshen, but the NDC has given us fresh hope. A new era is upon us," she continued.
She urged Ghanaians to welcome this time of rebirth and cooperate in order to guarantee advancement under the administration headed by the NDC.
His administration is poised to address important issues such as infrastructure development, healthcare, economic recovery, and young unemployment as Mahama starts his second term.
