Veteran broadcast journalist Captain Smart has attacked well-known media figures Kwame Sefa Kayi, Paul Adom Otchere, and Okatakyie Afrifa for their alleged bias in support of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration in a heated on-air tirade. Speaking on Onua TV, Captain Smart chastised the three reporters for failing to speak out against the current administration's failings and cautioned them against doing so when former President John Mahama returns to office the next year.

Captain Smart, who is well-known for his candid opinions, stressed that although he would not protect Mahama from criticism, the three journalists should not have made disparaging remarks about the previous president if they had not opposed the current administration. He maintained that when Mahama regains power, Sefa Kayi, Otchere, and Afrifa shouldn't get involved because they had disregarded the injustices of the Akufo-Addo regime.

Captain Smart said, "Let us say what we want to say if Mahama does something wrong." "You saw nothing bad about the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government, so don't come and talk about Mahama." He said that they shouldn't anticipate the same level of care from Mahama's administration, suggesting that they might not be able to continue to enjoy the benefits they were able to during the Akufo-Addo administration.

In his comments, Captain Smart expressed his contempt for the three journalists' apparent lack of journalistic ethics. Sefa Kayi, Otchere, and Afrifa should not be critical of Mahama for the things they did not hold Akufo-Addo responsible for while he was president, he stated, but he also made it plain that he would not pardon Mahama when he became office.

On social media, the journalist's remarks have generated a lot of response, with many people applauding Captain Smart for his courage and willingness to challenge authority. Others, on the other hand, have questioned the appropriateness of his remarks, arguing that his criticism of colleagues goes against the fair journalism ideal.
