Attorney Martin Kpebu, who is a member of the preparation committee for Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), which was formed by President John Dramani Mahama, gave an update on the team's work.

According to the most recent information, the head of the National Investigation Bureau (NIB), Nana Attobrah Quaicoe, willingly came to the committee about land that he allegedly acquired illegally.

Kpebu stated in an interview with TV3 on Saturday, January 11, 2024, that Attobrah Quaicoe made the decision to give the land back to the state in response to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the head of the ORAL preparation committee, voicing reservations.

Kpebu explained that this action by the NIB boss prevented him from being investigated and potentially prosecuted by the ORAL committee. "Our role is preparatory, so we are not directly involved in the actual recovery of assets; that will be addressed in the next phase.
