She made a remarkable choice at the beginning of the 1950s that is still discussed by many today. Ama Dapaah made sure her ten children had a safe environment to live and grow up by purchasing a home in the UK. Her perseverance and hard work are evident in her capacity to support her family in this way.


She was crucial in helping her son John Kufuor and his family as well. In a truly kind gesture, she secured first-class and VIP seats on a ship to transport Kufuor and his young family from the United Kingdom back to Ghana.
