In a vibrant kente cloth, Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, the North Tongu member of parliament, arrived at Black Star Square for President-elect John Dramani Mahama's historic inauguration.

He smiled broadly as he posed for the photo beside Dzifa Gomashie and colleague MPS Edem Agbana, according to Mynewsgh.com.

Under the Fourth Republic, John Mahama will be the sixth president of Ghana.

However, John Dramani Mahama is running for a second term after losing the 2016 election.

The 66-year-old Mahama is anticipated to address prevalent issues such as popular dissatisfaction, high unemployment, inflation, and corruption.
