Police retrieve vehicle stolen from Ursula’s office

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the legislator for Ablekuma West, had a stolen pickup truck retrieved by the Ghana Police Service.

During severe violence following the December 7 elections, on December 9, 2024, unknown individuals stormed into her workplace and took several items, including the automobile.

More than 100 individuals have been taken into custody in relation to the violence that followed the election.

The Ghana Police Service's Director of Public Affairs, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, promised the public during a news conference on Thursday, December 12, that there would be continued, stepped-up efforts to restore peace and order.


The last 24 hours have seen the arrest of 17 additional individuals as part of the crackdown on those responsible for the post-election unrest. With the arrest of the 17 individuals, the total number of suspects apprehended to date is 123.

Additionally, we have successfully recovered the stolen Nissan Pickup belonging to Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful through an intelligence-led operation.


"On Monday, December 9, 2024, this car was taken from her workplace." The Dansoman Police are currently holding the car. We're not giving up on apprehending the criminals responsible for this.
