According to the report by GHOne TV, the increasing number of road accidents in Kenya has once again claimed young lives, leaving a university community in grief.
In the latest misfortune, three students from South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) in Kwa Vonza, Kitui County, lost their lives in a deadly crash.
The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when their motorcycle crashed into a lorry near the university.
Reports indicate that the collision was severe, leading to the instant loss of all three students.
Officers from Kwa Vonza Police Station swiftly arrived at the scene to assess the situation and launch investigations into the cause of the crash.
Preliminary findings suggest that poor visibility may have been a contributing factor, although authorities are yet to establish the exact cause.
Following the accident, police moved the bodies of the deceased to the Kitui Level 4 Hospital mortuary as enquiries continue.
This tragic event has reignited concerns over road safety in the region, with many urging for stricter measures to curb such incidents.
As the SEKU fraternity and bereaved families come to terms with the devastating loss, tributes continue to pour in, emphasising the importance of road safety awareness and caution.

"Three learners from South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) in Kwa Vonza, Kitui Rural, Kitui County, perished instantly after their motorbike crashed into a truck near the university. The tragic incident took place early this morning as they were travelling from Kwa Vonza to SEKU.
Law enforcement officers from Kwa Vonza Police Station arrived at the location to evaluate the situation and commence enquiries into the accident.
Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased were transported by the authorities to the Kitui Level 4 Hospital mortuary as investigations proceed."
