Investigative reporter Raymond Archer has made it clear that he had no personal grudges when he reported critically on the administration of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
With decades of journalism experience, Mr. Archer is well-known for his exposés on corruption involving Kufuor cabinet appointments. Ghana was led by John Agyekum Kufuor from January 7, 2001, to January 7, 2009.
During an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Channel One TV's Face to Face, the former editor of the Enquirer newspaper described how his dedication to responsibility in governance and professionalism motivated his investigative work.
My personal opinion is that I had nothing against Kufuor as president or as a previous president. It's simply the way I think; I like a fantastic story. I can always tell you if a narrative isn't worth it, and I never wasted my time on it, even though you might make mistakes because of that.
In response to the question of whether he regretted his investigative articles regarding the Kufuor regime, he boldly said, "Nothing really comes to mind."
A five-person team led by Raymond Archer is in charge of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), which is being carried out by the National Democratic Congress.
ORAL is designed as a comprehensive strategy to address systemic corruption and financial impropriety. By focusing on recovering misappropriated funds and resources, the initiative aims to strengthen governance, restore public trust in state institutions, and provide much-needed fiscal space for national development.
