Due to her disagreement with Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Emeafa Hardcastle, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission, has drawn criticism from some social media users.

During a Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Appointments Committee meeting, the MP reacted angrily to Hardcastle's assessment of his caucus as "micro," according to a video of the incident that Channel One TV released.

It got heated when the Minority Chief Whip apparently threatened to take action against Hardcastle, to which she retorted that he was "silly."

Online, the incident has generated conflicting responses. Some social media users have denounced Hardcastle's comments, calling her behavior haughty and insulting.
