On social media, veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has called out people disseminating false information over the passing of her coworker Osita Iheme, also known as Pawpaw.
In a post on her Instagram page, the actress said that if one blogger and one eager social media content generator aren't brutally dealt with, the others won't pick up any knowledge.
According to Rita Edochie, the trend is progressively getting out of hand because they are not the first or second time that such rumors have been spread.
Previously, this rumor has surfaced. The second time it came up was a few days ago. Social media was ablaze with pictures of my great-son and veteran coworker Osita Iheme, also known as Paw-paw, with remarks that said they were dead, not him. Crazy online users started commenting "rip" on themselves after coming to believe the false gist.
As an individual, I believe that this is slowly becoming out of hand. This time is not the first, second, or third time. For so-called bloggers and content producers, it has become a common media practice. I would like to know why you would wish someone, particularly a Nigerian celebrity, an early death just because you believe that our fame will bring you the attention, connections, and money you don't deserve. "I wrote," she wrote.
