His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has appointed his first advisor as president-elect, whose duties officially begin today.

Many people are looking forward to his inauguration, and the president-elect's office has released a statement.

The president has appointed a few new people, according to a January 6 statement signed by Felix Ofosu Kwakye, a special assistant.

Seven individuals were appointed by the president-elect to the presidency.

Included on the list are Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, senior presidential advisor, Governmental Affairs; Prosper Douglas Bani, director of the temporary security taskforce; Julius Debrah, chief of staff; and Dr. Callistus Mahama, executive secretary to the president.


According to the statement, Augustus Gosie Tannoh has been named the presidential advisor and will be in charge of the 24-hour economy and the rapid growth of exports.

In closing, the communication names Honorable Felix Kwakye Ofosu as the Ag spokesman to the president and Marrietta Agyeiwaa Brew as the legal counsel.
