To stop the continuous acts of lawlessness, President Akufo-Addo has been urged to take decisive action by President-elect John Dramani Mahama.
There have been occasional reports of attacks on state offices and installations, according to John Mahama. Who is responsible for these attacks is unknown, though.
According President John Mahama's speech, "Changes in administration give the appearance of a power vacuum." It is easy to force some people to operate against the interests of the country and in their own local interests.
"I've heard of attacks on state buildings and workplaces. Although the perpetrator of these actions is unknown, I categorically denounce them. These actions must stop right away," he continued.
John Mahama also advised the young people to refrain from using illegal activities as a way to express their resentment. Instead, direct their dissatisfaction and rage toward the constructive endeavor of rebuilding and reestablishing Ghana.
He continued, saying, "I call on the president and the security agencies to act decisively to curb the ongoing acts of lawlessness because state power is still in the hands of the present administration."
As the NDC won the 2024 elections, there have been reports of gangs of purported NDC supporters breaking into the buildings of several state agencies, including Ghana Gas, the Forestry Commission, the Ghana Ports and Harbor Authority, Metro Mass Transit, and NADMO headquarters.
