The popularity of Ibrahim Traore, the president of Burkina Faso, in Ghana has been acknowledged by President John Mahama.
The president of Burkina Faso, Ibrahim Traore, was present at Ghana's John Mahama's inauguration.
In one of his rare foreign trips, President Traore enjoyed the privileges of being allowed to wear his military uniform, carry a pistol, and have his own armed personal security.
The Ghanaian audience roared their applause.
Following President John Mahama's inauguration, Captain Ibrahim Traore met with him.
In a social media video, John Mahama congratulated President Ibrahim Traore for attending his inauguration, demonstrated sympathy with the Burkinabean people, and sparked fresh life in Ghana-Burkina Faso ties.
Furthermore, President Mahama stated that he plans to thank Captain Ibrahim Traore in Burkina Faso.
"We are one people," John Mahama added, "and you can see how popular Mr. President is in Ghana; he received the biggest applause when he was introduced at Black Star Square."
