A well-known Diasporic thought leader, Mr. Gabriel Agambila, is pleading with President-elect John Dramani Mahama to change his mind about limiting the number of ministry nominations to sixty. Apexnewsgh reports

Mr. Agambila worries that the president-elect's intentions to establish a 24-hour economy would necessitate a more capable team.

The number of ministers would already be down to 40 with 10 cabinet ministers and their deputies, and the number would drop to 24 with the addition of 16 regional ministers, Mr. Agambila claimed. According to Mr. Agambila, the finance ministry, for example, cannot operate efficiently with fewer than three deputies.

Some people may be surprised to learn that President-elect Mahama made hints during the 2024 campaign that some people were already preparing for specific roles. Considering that more than 300 former appointees are running for office, Mr. Agambila admits that the president-elect must meet high expectations from both the general public and party supporters.

As he spent the majority of his adult life in the Diaspora, Mr. Agambila's conception of a 24-hour economy entails three worker shifts working around the clock.

The president-elect's list of nominees is always shifting, he observes, and he hopes he will make the right choices to keep his pledge to reset the economy.

Mr. Agambila asks the public to lower their expectations and instead pray for the president-elect to make wise decisions as he assumes the presidency on January 7.
