One of the social cameras we are fighting in Ghana is armed robbery and other criminal activities. The latest update from UTV Ghana confirms the demise of three (3) criminals after staging an attack to steal from a mining company in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. According to the report, the three young men were found lifeless at the site of the mining in the Ahafo Region of Ghana.

The sad news occurred at a place called the Newmont mining site in the Ahafo region. The Ghana police service released a statement about the incident before journalists from UTV visited the scene to give a full update. According to the reporter from UTV, all the young guys killed by the police officers were Muslims and their other ages were between 29 to 35. It was also added that the young boys who visited the mining site to rob them were seven (7) in number. That is, four (4) were able to escape from the scene.

However, there has been some controversy and confusion at Newmont following the killing of the young guys. Some of the members of the community alleged that the young boys were not armed robbers or criminals, hence they were not going to allow workers of Newmont to operate on their land any longer. Some of the main roads leading to the site have been blocked by the residents.
