A dramatic scene unfolded in Amasaman, Ghana, as two suspected car thieves were apprehended by an angry mob while attempting to flee with a stolen Toyota Vitz. The vehicle, bearing registration number GR 2628-24, was reportedly stolen from Ablekuma before the thieves were chased down and caught at Amasaman 3 Junction.

As the mob began to mete out justice, a swift intervention by a police officer prevented the situation from escalating further. The timely arrival of the law enforcement officer ensured the suspects were taken into custody, averting a potentially violent outcome. The residents were ready to beat these thieves but due to the intervention of the police, they couldn’t.

The incident highlights the growing concern of car theft in the region and the need for increased vigilance and cooperation between law enforcement and the community. The police are currently investigating the matter, and the suspects will face charges for their alleged crimes.
