A US judge has granted Mona Faiz Montrage, also known as "Hajia4Reall," a well-known Ghanaian singer and socialite, her request to be deported to Ghana.
At the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia, Hajia 4Reall was incarcerated for 12 months after entering a guilty plea to defrauding people and companies in the United States between 2013 and 2019.
Fast Law, her legal firm, filed the request on November 1, 2024, claiming that the paperwork was required to start the self-deportation process.
The application was not opposed by the prosecution, according to court documents.
J. Paul Oetken, a US District Judge, has finally granted the request and ordered that her passport be given to her attorneys.
The decision by the US court makes it possible for Hajia4real to return to Ghana after serving her time.
Due to her role in a romantic fraud in June 2024, Hajia4Reall was sentenced to one year and one day in prison.
After attending the Ghana Music Awards UK, she was detained in the UK on November 11, 2022. Following that, in May 2023, Hajia4real was extradited to the United States.
