In the late hours of 10th January 2025, UTV news confirmed the sad news that occurred in the Ahafo Region of Ghana leading to the death of three (3) young guys. According to the report from UTV Ghana, the young guys originated from a community called Newmont in the Ahafo Region (a winning community). The report from the Ghana Police Service confirmed that the young me wanted to rob the Newmont mining company in the Ahafo Region at night. However, the presence of the police officers on duty that night prevented these young armed robbers from robbing the mining site. The encounter between the police officers led to the death of 3 young boys out of seven (7) men who visited the mining site that night.

UTV Ghana has disclosed the pictures of the 3 guys who were killed by the police officers at Newmont in the Ahafo Region. Take a look at the pictures below.

According to UTV, Buffalo, Dauda, and Isha are the names of the deceased.

The murder of the young men, however, has caused some debate and misunderstanding at Newmont. Some community residents said that the young lads were neither armed robbers or criminals, so they forbade Newmont employees from working on their property any longer. The residents have blocked a few of the main routes that lead to the location.
