In the Ahafo Region, some young people allegedly affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have attacked a restroom in the Ahafo Mim.
Allegedly, the teenagers used the action as a component of a bigger scheme to seize control of the establishment.
In an attempt to remove members of the defunct New Patriotic Party (NPP) party, some NDC youth attacked various state agencies after the party won the December 7 elections.
Several prominent members of the NDC have disputed that the attacks are the work of party members.
President John Dramani Mahama has been tasked by the parliament's minority caucus to address the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party faithful promptly.
They described the incidents as alarming and unacceptable, urging the President to act swiftly to restore order.
President John Dramani Mahama, has however admonished the youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against invading and attempting to takeover state owned institutions.
“I know that in 2017 that is what the NPP did after we lost that elections. As soon as we handed over, they started to attack gov’t offices, takeover tolling booths, take over public toilets, go to gov’t offices and throw people out. Seize some people on the streets and take cars from them. We must not do the same thing. Let us show Ghana that we are different,” he stated.
