GN Bank founder and CEO Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has announced some good news that should give many Ghanaians hope.
The restoration of GN Bank's license would generate at least 3,000 direct jobs in all 16 regions of Ghana by 2025, according to a recent Facebook post by Dr. Nduom.
When Akufo-Addo was in office, the Bank of Ghana cancelled the license of GN Bank, which was formerly a financial institution. Many jobs were lost as a result of the decision, which had an impact on the livelihoods of many Ghanaians and was a part of a larger effort to clean up the banking industry. The action sparked controversy and condemnation, particularly from those who supported the bank and its founder.
If he were elected president, former President John Dramani Mahama promised to reinstate GN Bank's license during his campaign for the general elections in 2024.
GN Bank is expected to soon begin operations following the announcement of John Mahama as the 2024 election winner. This promise will be fulfilled in part by Dr. Nduom's declaration of possible employment creation.
Dr. Nduom claims that the reopening of GN Bank will benefit the nation's underprivileged neighborhoods by bringing financial services and jobs. The reintroduction of the bank, which has branches in all 16 regions, is anticipated to have a major positive impact on Ghana's economy and provide families who lost their sources of income optimism.
This announcement has generated positive reactions from many Ghanaians, especially those who are looking forward to new job opportunities.
