On Monday, January 27, 2025, Captain Smart, a well-known media personality, returned to work and delivered a daring message to Ghanaian journalists on Onua TV's "maakye" show. Ghanaian journalists and media celebrities, according to Captain Smart, have been more concerned with their financial gain from political party leaders than with telling Ghanaians the reality about the country's situation. Also, he notes that his observations about journalists have been accurate in Ghana's media outlets. He'sends' a word to media since he doesn't'sit' well with this.

Journalists like you are'shame' for not being honest with Ghanaians about the country. As 'galamsey' destroys our waterbodies, the majority of you remain silent and lack the will to stand out for Ghanaians. Based on my observations, the majority of you are solely concerned with the money that your political party leaders give you. "I am a man of truth, and since I am not one of you, no one can stop me from telling the truth to Ghanaians," Captain Smart tells reporters.

Captain Smart claims that since they lack his courage, the majority of Ghanaian journalists are unable to report the truth. Every journalist should speak up if something is happening in the nation that would not benefit the Ghanaian people since the media is for everyone, according to Captain Smart.
