Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), claims in an old video that the NPP threatened to fire a private company's managing director's son after they took control.
When the NPP won the election, Asiedu Nketia claims that his son was employed by a private company at the port and that they threatened to fire him or cancel his licenses.
Speaking on Starr Chat, Asiedu Nketia disclosed, "My son worked in a private company at the port, and after the NPP won, they actually went and threatened the managing director of that company to revoke your licenses or fire Asiedu Nketia's son." He was fired, but the news is out.
In the meantime, NDC supporters have been cautioned by President John Dramani Mahama not to copy the actions of NPP supporters in 2017.
According to John Mahama, the NPP stormed state institutions, took property, and attacked public officials in 2017, shortly after assuming power.
According to John Mahama, the NDC's supporters need to demonstrate to Ghanaians that the party is unique and not repeat the same mistakes.
There have been claims that a gun and machete were taken away after some young people, allegedly affiliated with the NDC, attacked a restroom attendant at Ahafo Mim after attempting to take control of the establishment, despite John Mahama's pleas.
In addition, some purported NDC supporters have surrounded Baba Yara Sports Stadium, forcing staff from of their offices and closing the building down.
