A team of police officers arrested suspects on the Accra-Aflao highway for possession plastic containers of a substance suspected to be human blood without permits.
On Sunday, February 9, about 1200 hours, Highway patrol team of the Ghana Police Service intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car with registration number, GW 2837-19 moving from Accra towards Aflao.
The suspects, Lord Morrgan, a Ghanaian highlife musician and a contractor (38years), and his manager, DJ Quest (34years) and were charged with the offence of possessing of human blood contrary to section 69B of the Criminal Offences (Amendment) Act, 2012 of Act 29/60.
Upon interrogation, the driver disclosed to the police that the content was given to him at Tema to be delivered to DJ Quest at Agbozume.
“I received a call from an unknown number in the hours of Sunday, when the caller mentioned that he is a driver and has been asked to deliver a package to me, from Tema.
Upon a second phone call, the said driver confirmed reaching my destination and requested I meet him for the package, only to be arrested by a team of policemen he came with, and was taken to the Akatsi police station” – DJ Quest.
Lord Morrgan confirmed that he received a call as well from an unknown number which tipped him that his manager has been arrested, by the aid of the True Caller App, he identified the caller as “Atsu”.
Morrgan on Monday, feb 10, drove straight to the Akatsi police station to ascertain the situation but was also arrested to assist in investigations.
